TRAFFIC INFORMATION

NOTICE: The court is experiencing delays in entering traffic citations. It may take up to six (6) weeks after your citation has been issued for it to be entered into the court's computer system. You will not receive a courtesy notice in the mail and will not be able to pay your fines (either in person at the courthouse, over the phone, or on-line) until your citation has been entered into the system. Thank you for your patience.

Please review carefully all of the information on both the front and back of the citation that you received. It will list the time and date within which you promised to appear. Adults and juveniles receiving traffic citations, other than parking tickets, should also receive a courtesy notice in the mail at least 10 days before the required appearance date. If the courtesy notice indicates a mandatory appearance, you must appear in court.

Consequences of Failure to Respond: If you fail to appear or post bail (and/or submit proof of correction) as directed, you will be subject to further penalties of increased bail, license suspension or arrest warrant.

Amnesty Program begins January 1, 2012 and ends June 30, 2012

***The California Legislature has mandated (AB 1358) that every county implement a one-time amnesty period that allows a defendant to make a lump sum payment of 50% of the outstanding balance on certain violations to fully satisfy that court ordered obligation.***

ALL of the following conditions must be met to be eligible:

  • You have an outstanding traffic case that was due to be paid in full before January 1, 2009.
  • You either failed to appear in court or failed to pay in full.
  • The last date you made a payment was on or before January 1, 2009.
  • You don't owe restitution to a victim on any case within the county where the violation was filed.
  • You have no outstanding misdemeanor or felony warrants within the county where the violation was filed.
  • *Parking tickets, driving under the influence (DUI), and reckless driving cases are NOT eligible.
